Elizabeth Olsen to Star in Classic Stage Company's Romeo & Juliet

What's in a name? That which we call an...Olsen! Elizabeth Olsen, Mary-Kate and Ashley's baby sis, will star as Juliet Capulet in Classic Stage Company's upcoming production of William Shakespeare's Romeo & Juliet. The production will kick off CSC's 2013-14 season next fall. Additional casting as well as a director for the show will be announced at a later date.

Romeo & Juliet continues CSC's ongoing exploration of the works of Shakespeare, which has included productions of A Midsummer Night’s Dream with Bebe Neuwirth and Taylor Mac, The Tempest with Mandy Patinkin and Hamlet with Michael Cumpsty. One of Shakespeare's most well-known and performed plays, Romeo & Juliet is a tragedy about two young star-crossed lovers whose deaths ultimately reconcile their feuding families.

Olsen's film credits include Liberal Arts, Red Lights, Silent House, Martha Marcy May Marlene and the upcoming Spike Lee-directed Old Boy. Olsen's theater background includes serving as an understudy in the Broadway production of Impressionism and in the off-Broadway play Dust.
