A host of Broadway stars including Laura Osnes, Rob McClure and Laura Benanti will unite at Carnegie Hall for the New York Pops’ 30th Birthday Gala on April 29. The evening will honor songwriters Frank Loesser (Guys and Dolls) and Jule Styne (Gypsy) and entertainer Danny Kaye (White Christmas).
Also on hand to perform during the concert will be Donna Murphy, James Naughton, Kelli O’Hara and Anthony Warlow, with additional performers to be announced at a later date. Paula Zahn, host of PBS’ NYC-ARTS, will serve as host of the evening.
Under the musical direction of Steven Reineke, the New York Pops will also be joined by the Ronald McDonald House Rockin’ the House Band and Chorus, Camp Broadway Kids and the New York Pops Salute to Music Students. A black tie dinner and dance at the Plaza Hotel will follow the concert.
