Tony winner Kristin Chenoweth has canceled her U.K. concert tour at the last minute. The actress was set to launch the tour on March 11 at the London Coliseum. No exact reason for the cancellation has been announced at this time, however Chenoweth took to her Twitter page to post the above picture and wrote "Was ready to go. And now completely devastated. I am sorry to my U.K fans. Not a good day. A horrible day."
A statement from the show's spokesperson said, "We regret to announce that we are unable to present our planned U.K. tour with Tony and Emmy Award-winning star Kristin Chenoweth and that the tour has therefore been canceled. We are deeply sorry to disappoint Kristin's many U.K. fans, who so readily brought tickets to see her. We wish to make it clear that the decision to cancel the tour is a result of Speckulation Entertainment's unforeseen circumstances, and that Kristin is saddened not to be able to perform here as planned. She was looking forward to performing to her sold-out audiences."
After London, Chenoweth was set to perform at the Manchester Opera House (March 13), Edinburgh Festival (March 15) and Wales Millennium Centre (March 17). Broadway.com caught up with Chenoweth right as she was about to head out on the tour. Click here to read the interview!
