Cheyenne Jackson has been tapped to replace Sean Hayes as an energetic dance instructor in the independent film 6 Dance Lessons In 6 Weeks, reports Deadline.com.
Jackson will star as Michael Minetti, a dancer hired by an elderly retiree (played by Gena Rowlands) for private dance lessons in her Florida condo. Arthur Allan Seidelman will direct, with a screenplay by Richard Alfieri. The film is based on Alfieri’s two-hander play of the same name, which debuted on Broadway in 2003 and starred Polly Bergen and Mark Hamill.
Jackson’s screen slate is growing these days. He’s set to star in the comedy pilot The Onion Presents: The News and he’ll appear in HBO’s Liberace bio pic Behind the Candelabra, as well as the features Mutual Friends, Lucky Stiff and Beautiful Now.
