Prepare ye! Broadway vet Corbin Bleu has been added to the cast of One Life to Live's online resurrection, according to Deadline.com. Production on the soap opera is expected to resume on March 18. The series, which was canceled last year after nearly 35 years on TV, has been renewed for 30 minute episodes by The Online Network. Episodes will be available on Hulu and iTunes starting April 29.
Bleu joins the cast as Jeffrey King, a young reporter and friend of established characters Matthew Buchanan (Robert Gorrie) and Danielle Manning (Kelley Missal). King comes to Llanview to work for the local paper, The Banner, under its publisher Victoria Lord (Erica Slezak).
Bleu made his Broadway debut as an Usnavi replacement in In the Heights, and he later went on to star as Jesus in the 2011 revival of Godspell. Off the stage, Bleu is known for his appearances in the High School Musical film franchise and the Disney Channel original movie Jump In! His additional film and TV credits include Catch That Kid, Galaxy Quest, Soldier, The Amanda Show and Ned’s Declassified School Survival Guide.
