Pop star Justin Timberlake was everywhere last week: He hosted Saturday Night Live for the fifth time, he was a guest every single night on Late Night With Jimmy Fallon, he streamed his new album The 20/20 Experience for free on iTunes and made a surprise appearance at SXSW. What a guy! The multitalented singer, actor and songwriter sure has come a long way from being a Mouseketeer, so we asked readers to decide which musical JT should tackle on Broadway. Check out the results!
1. Fiyero in Wicked – 23%
The fans have spoken, and 23% of our readers would love to see Timberlake take the stage as easygoing Shiz student Fiyero in Wicked. JT’s got the best moves around, so “Dancing Through Life” will be a breeze. Plus, he’d definitely bring “SexyBack” to Broadway in that green and gold Fiyero jacket.
2. Elder Price in The Book of Mormon - 18%
Justin Timberlake as a Mormon? As his SNL appearances (and prior Mickey Mouse Club training) have proven, the pop star definitely has the comedic chops for the role of perky missionary Elder Price in The Book of Mormon. Timberlake may have even known fans are hoping to see him join the show—he and his wife Jessica Biel caught a performance of The Book of Mormon this weekend!
3. Billy Flynn in Chicago - 14%
A respectable 14% of fans think Justin Timberlake has what it takes to channel smooth-talking lawyer Billy Flynn in Chicago on Broadway…or maybe they just want to see him tap dance. Either way, the pop star would bring some serious "Razzle Dazzle" to the Tony-winning revival. Timberlake could follow in the footsteps of other pop stars who've headlined Chicago including Usher, Ashlee Simpson and Michelle Williams.
