Colm Toibin's The Testament of Mary, starring Tony nominee Fiona Shaw, begins performances March 26 at Broadway's Walter Kerr Theatre. Directed by Tony nominee Deborah Warner, the Scott Rudin Club production will officially open on April 22. The production will play a limited engagement through June 16.
Based on Toibin's novella of the same name, The Testament of Mary tells the unheard story of Mary, the mother of Jesus, who is being guarded and protected in the city of Ephesus after the Crucifixion.
The Testament of Mary features set design by Tom Pye, lighting by Jennifer Tipton, costume design by Ann Roth and music and sound design by Mel Mercier.
