This year’s annual Broadway Bares benefit will most certainly put the beauty back in America the Beautiful with the 23rd annual edition Broadway Bares 23: United Strips of America, which will be held on June 23 at Roseland Ballroom.
The patriotic theme will find more than 200 of Broadway’s sexiest (and most scantily-clad) dancers as they take a trip from sea to shining sea for a two-performance evening of naughty dancing, razzle-dazzle burlesque and choreographed stripteases—all benefitting Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS. Special guests will be announced soon.
Broadway Bares was created by Jerry Mitchell (Kinky Boots); this year’s edition will be directed by Nick Kenkel (Catch Me If You Can, Legally Blonde). Last year’s edition raised a record-breaking $1,254,176 for BC/EFA. All 22 editions to date have raised more than $9.8 million.
The Bares season will also feature Broadway Bares: Solo Strips in May and Broadway Bares: Fire Island in early June.
