Broadway headliners turned TV stars Sutton Foster and Jesse Tyler Ferguson will announce the 2013 Tony nominations from the New York Public Library for the Performing Arts at Lincoln Center on April 30. Sponsored by IBM, the Tony nominations will begin at 8:30 AM EST and can be viewed live on CBS This Morning or NY1.
Foster won her two Tony Awards for her performances in Anything Goes (2011) and Thoroughly Modern Millie (2002). She won eight Broadway.com Audience Choice Awards and earned additional Tony nominations for Shrek the Musical, The Drowsy Chaperone and Little Women. She is currently the star of the original ABC Family series Bunheads.
Ferguson made his Broadway debut in On the Town before originating the role of Leaf Coneybear in the Tony nominated musical The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee. His off-Broadway credits include Merchant of Venice and A Midsummer Night’s Dream at Shakespeare in the Park. He returns to the park this summer to star in The Comedy of Errors. Ferguson is best known for his Emmy-nominated performance as uptight lawyer Mitchell on the ABC sitcom Modern Family.
