Oscar Nominee Jacki Weaver to Take 6 Dance Lessons in 6 Weeks with Cheyenne Jackson in New Film

Two-time Oscar nominee Jacki Weaver is set to join Broadway.com Audience Choice Award winner Cheyenne Jackson in the upcoming film 6 Dance Lessons In 6 Weeks. Deadline.com reports that the Australian actress will play Irene, a jaunty dance student who's learning to cut a rug with Jackson's dance instructor.

In addition to Jackson and Weaver, 6 Dance Lessons in 6 Weeks will also star Rita Moreno, Ann-Margret, Julian Sands and Gena Rowlands. The story follows an energetic dance instructor named Michael Minetti (Jackson), who is hired by an elderly retiree (Rowlands) for private dance lessons in her Florida condo.

6 Dance Lessons in 6 Weeks is based on Richard Alfieri’s two-hander, which bowed on Broadway in 2003 starring Mark Hamill and Polly Bergen. The show ran for less than a month.
