The X Factor finalist and Broadway veteran Carly Rose Sonenclar has wowed audiences across America with her soulful sound, and now she’s bringing her voice back to the New York stage! The 13-year-old vocalist will perform a one-night-only solo show as part of the Stand Up for a Cure 2013 Concert Series on August 10 at Times Square’s Best Buy Theater.
The solo engagement benefits the Starlight Children’s Foundation of NY/NJ and CT, a global children’s charity where Sonenclar serves as an ambassador. The Stand Up for a Cure Concert Series is produced by Live Production Group.
Sonenclar made her Broadway debut at age seven as Young Cosette and the understudy for Gavroche in the 2006 revival of Les Miserables. She then went on to appear as Carrie Ingalls in the national tour of Little House on the Prairie before returning to Broadway, starring as Chloe in Wonderland. Most recently, Sonenclar became the runner-up on the second season of FOX’s singing competition show The X Factor. Her additional credits include The Electric Company, Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2, The Nanny Diaries and featured solo performances at Birdland Jazz Club.
