Potted Potter: The Unauthorized Harry Experience is back in New York City for more hilarious wizardry! The Harry Potter parody play returns to the off-Broadway stage for a 13-week engagement, written and starring Daniel Clarkson and Jefferson Turner. Directed by Richard Hurst, the show begins performances May 30 at the Little Shubert Theatre. Potted Potter is set to open officially on June 4, and will play a limited engagement through September 1.
The parody takes on the ultimate challenge of condensing, or “potting” all seven Harry Potter books into 70 madcap minutes, featuring multiple costume changes, songs, props and a generous helping of Hogwarts magic. The show also invites audiences to engage in a real life game of Quidditch, while following Clarkson and Turner’s unique set of rules. Potted Potter originally played at the Little Shubert Theatre from June 3 through September 2, 2012.
Potted Potter features set design by Simon Scullion, lighting design by Tim Mascall, music by Phil Innes and additional material by Richard Hurst.
