Tony winners, unite! Kristin Chenoweth has been tapped to play Matthew Broderick’s sister in the untitled CBS comedy pilot from Scrubs alum Tad Quill, reports TVLine.
The multi-camera sitcom follows Jack (Broderick), a recently widowed single father who struggles to find a balance between raising his 12-year-old son and entering the dating pool. Chenoweth will play Marnie, described as Jack’s “cute but judgmental” busybody sister who works as a waitress but considers herself a therapist, despite not having a degree.
Chenoweth reunites with Broderick, with whom she starred in the ABC made-for-TV adaptation of The Music Man. Cheno’s screen credits include GCB, The Good Wife, Glee and an Emmy-winning turn on Pushing Daisies.
