Kevin Spirtas will step into the role of Hannibal Lecter’s nemesis Dr. Chilton in the off-Broadway hit Silence! The Musical beginning May 4. He replaces current star Jeffery Kuhn.
In Silence! The Musical, rookie FBI agent Clarice Starling matches wits with the brilliant but insane cannibal, Dr. Hannibal Lecter, in order to catch the mysterious serial killer known only as Buffalo Bill. Clarice faces her own demons while racing the clock to unlock Lecter’s clues before another innocent girl is killed and skinned by Buffalo Bill. The tounge-in-cheek musical features a book by Hunter Bell, music and lyrics by Jon and Al Kaplan, and direction and choreography by Tony winner Christopher Gattelli.
Spirtas appeared on Broadway in A Chorus Line, The Boy From Oz and Meet Me in St. Louis. His film and TV credits include Friends, Married with Children, Apt Pupil, Horror High, Daredevil and Days of Our Lives. Spirtas also starred as Corny Collins in the Las Vegas production of Hairspray.
Silence! currently stars Sean McDermott, Laura Jordan, David Ayers, Callan Bergmann, Howard Kaye, Tyler Maynard, Sarah O’Gleby, Ronica V. Reddick, Kimberly Stern, and Natalie Joy Johnson.
