Tony nominee Fiona Shaw (Medea) stars in Broadway’s The Testament of Mary, a Colm Tobin-scribed solo piece about Mary, the mother of Jesus, and her unheard story of her son’s Crucifixion. Directed by Tony nominee Deborah Warner, the Scott Rudin Club production marks the first collaboration between Shaw and Warner to premiere in the United States. Film, stage and TV stars flooded the Walter Kerr Theatre on April 22 in support of Shaw's opening night, including Chris Rock, Tom Sturridge and Carrie Fisher. After the curtain came down, the guests joined Shaw for an elegant celebration at Sardi's.
