Here’s your weekly update on Smash, NBC’s musical dramedy and apparent ratings thrill ride. Bombshell finally opened on Broadway and the story of the belabored Marilyn Monroe musical appears to be drawing to a close. So how did April 20’s big opening night episode do in the ratings?
According to Zap2It, the episode “Opening Night” earned 1.91 million viewers and a 0.4 adults 18-49 rating share, which is pretty much what happened last week as well (1.8 million/0.4). For the eagle-eyed numbers watchers, that ratings share is tied for the series low.
That said, the show continues to deliver some bitchin’ Broadway drama for the Bombshell and Hit List team—plus, some killer cameos! Did you catch Rosie O’Donnell, Daphne Rubin-Vega, Marc Shaiman and Scott Wittman in “Opening Night”?
