Nominations for the 79th annual Drama League Awards have been announced. The awards ceremony will take place May 17 at the Marriot Marquis, hosted by David Hyde Pierce. The Drama League Awards recognize distinguished productions, performances and exemplary career achievements in Broadway and off-Broadway theater. As previously announced the Drama League's 2012 Distinguished Contributions and Achievements in Theatre honors will go to Bernadette Peters, Jerry Mitchell, Madison Square Garden Entertainment and the Rockettes. One winner is selected for the Distinguished Performer Award. Recipients can only receive the award once during his or her career. A full list of nominations is below.
