Broadway.com Audience Choice Award winner and 2012 host Darren Criss is embarking on a national tour this summer. Kicking off on May 29 in Criss’ hometown of San Francisco, the Listen Up tour will play 16 cities in the U.S. and Canada through June 30, and preview tracks off his upcoming debut solo album.
Criss wrote, “I'm proud to say, I'm going on tour this Summer!!! Full band. New music. Old music. Let's do this. #DarrenCrissListenUp.”
Criss and his band will play The Fillmore in San Francisco, CA on May 29; The House of Blues in Los Angles, CA on May 30; The House of Blues in Anaheim, CA on May 31; The House of Blues in Dallas, TX on June 3; The House of Blues in Houston, TX on June 4; The Cannery Ballroom in Nashville, TN on June 6; Deluxe at Old National Centre in Indianapolis, IN on June 7; The House of Blues in Chicago, IL on June 8; Varsity Theatre in Minneapolis, MN on June 10; Phoenix Concert Theatre in Toronto, ON on June 12; University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, MI on June 13; The House of Blues in Cleveland , OH in June 14; Roseland Ballroom in New York, NY on June 27; Theatre of Living Arts Philadelphia, PA on June 28; The House of Blues in Boston, MA on June 29 and The Fillmore in Silver Spring, MD on June 30.
Criss currently stars as Blaine Anderson on the popular TV's series Glee. He made his Broadway debut in 2012 as J. Pierrepont Finch in How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying, winning an Audience Choice Award for Favorite Replacement. This summer, he stars on the big screen in Girl Most Likely opposite Kristen Wiig, Annette Bening and Matt Dillon. His other screen credits include Eastwick and Cold Case. Criss is a founding member of the production company StarKid, creators of the hit YouTube videos A Very Potter Musical and A Very Potter Sequel, which starred Criss as Harry Potter. In addition to the Potter musicals, Criss composed the music for the original musical Starship.
