A Family For All Occasions is sticking around a little bit longer! The Labyrinth Theater Company has extended its premiere of Bob Glaudini's family drama before opening off-Broadway. The production, originally scheduled to play through May 19, will now run through May 26 at the Bank Street Theatre. Opening night is scheduled for May 12.
Directed by Tony nominee Philip Seymour Hoffman, A Family For All Occasions tells the story of Howard, a man who just wants to express himself, but he's faced with a wife who is way past listening and teenage kids who prefer that Dad be rarely seen and never heard. When his promiscuous daughter’s latest suitor drops by with an odd devotion to family, Howard’s prayers seem to be answered, until his home life is thrown dangerously and irrevocably off-course.
A Family For All Occasions stars Tony nominee Jeffrey DeMunn as Howard, Deirdre O’Connell as May, William Jackson Harper as Oz, Justine Lupe as Sue and Charlie Saxton as Sam.
The production features scenic design by David Meyer, costume design by Gali Noy, lighting design by Seth Reiser and sound design by Jill B.C. Du Boff.
