Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS is getting set to present a reimagined 20th anniversary benefit performance of David Drake's Obie-winning solo show The Night Larry Kramer Kissed Me. Playwright and original star Drake leads an ensemble cast in the one-night-only reading, to be held on May 20 at the Gerard W. Lynch Theater at John Jay College, directed by Tony nominee Robert La Fosse. The Night Larry Kramer Kissed Me is a series of vignettes inspired by Drake's experiences as a gay man at the height of the AIDS crisis in the early 1990s. On May 14, Drake and members of the ensemble, (which includes Tony winner B.D. Wong, Tony nominees Robin De Jesus, Andre de Shields and Rory O'Malley, Claybourne Elder, Anthony Rapp, Wesley Taylor, Brandon Cordieiro, Donald C. Shorter, Jr., Aaron Tone and Chad Ryan) gathered for photos before rehearsal. Click through the gallery below for a sneak peek at this captivating cast!
