Far From Heaven has extended its run through July 7 at off-Broadway's Playwrights Horizons. Starring Kelli O’Hara and Steven Pasquale and directed by Michael Greif, the show was originally scheduled to run through June 30.
Joining Pasquale and O’Hara are J.B. Adams, Quincy Tyler Bernstine, Mary Stout, Marinda Anderson, Nancy Anderson, Elainey Bass, Justin Scott Brown, Alma Cuervo, Korey Jackson, Isaiah Johnson, Jake Lucas, James Moye, Julianna Rigoglioso, Sarah Jane Shanks, Tess Soltau and Victor Wallace.
Based on the 2002 film starring Julianne Moore and Dennis Quaid, Far From Heaven tells the story of a 1950’s housewife (O’Hara) whose seemingly perfect suburban life begins to fall apart when she catches her husband in an illicit act.
Far From Heaven features music by Tony nominee Scott Frankel, lyrics by Tony nominee Michael Korie and a book by Tony winner Richard Greenberg. The show will be boast scenic design by Allen Moyer, costumes by Catherine Zuber, lighting by Kenneth Posner, sound by Nevin Steinberg, projections by Peter Nigrini, orchestrations by Bruch Coughlin and choreography by Alex Sanchez.
