We Think She's Gonna Like It Here! Annie Star Lilla Crawford Is Broadway.com's Newest Video Blogger

Listen up, orphans! The sun has finally come out and Broadway.com has a brand new video blogger: Annie star Lilla Crawford. The tuner's uber-talented, pint-sized title star will capture behind-the-scenes fun at the popular Broadway musical revival in her new video series: Simply Red: Backstage at Annie with Lilla Crawford.

Twelve-year-old Crawford endured five callbacks and beat out 5,000 young girls from around the United States to win the coveted role of Annie in James Lapine’s revival of the classic show by Charles Strouse, Martin Charnin and Thomas Meehan. She made her Broadway debut in 2011, playing Debbie in the closing cast of Billy Elliot. She was featured in a workshop production of Craig Wright’s Melissa Arctic and has performed in 14 shows with YADA (Youth Academy of Dramatic Arts) in her native Los Angeles.

The first episode of Simply Red: Backstage at Annie with Lilla Crawford will premiere on Tuesday, June 11, with new episodes airing on Broadway.com every Monday. We bet our bottom dollar that you'll be tuning in each and every week!
