The Finding Neverland musical will have a new director when it flies into the West End next spring. Fresh off her Tony win for Pippin, Diane Paulus will take over the Peter Pan-inspired tuner. The X Factor judge Gary Barlow will also write new songs for the production, which already features tunes from Scott Frankel and Michael Korie. James Graham has also been recruited to tweak the musical's book.
Finding Neverland follows the story of Peter Pan author J.M. Barrie and his relationship with the family of widow Sylvia Llewelyn Davies. Llewelyn Davies' children eventually became Barrie's inspiration to write the Pan story.
The musical is based on the 2004 Oscar-nominated film and made its world premiere at the Curve in September 2012. Plans are also in the works to bring the show to Broadway.
