Jackie Chan may soon add Broadway writer to his many credits, as the action star and martial artist has revealed plans to write a stage musical based on his best-selling memoir I Am Jackie Chan: My Life in Action.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Chan told reporters at a press conference in New York that he was in search of a director for the musical, which would chronicle his life from his early days at the Peking Opera School to his rise to superstardom.
Chan added that he would serve as narrator for the musical, which would also touch on his early youth and his experience in the children’s acrobatic performance group the Seven Little Fortunes.
