Film and sitcom stars and, more importantly, theater enthusiasts Carol Kane, Danny DeVito and Rhea Perlman hitched a ride over to the Classic Stage Company to catch up with old friend and Taxi co-star, Christopher Lloyd. The four actors appeared together on the series, which debuted in 1978 and won 18 Emmy Awards (including three for Outstanding Comedy Series and two for Lloyd's performance as Jim Ignatowski), and focused on the everyday lives of New York City taxi drivers. On June 11, the trio took in Lloyd's star performance in the powerful off-Broadway drama The Caucasian Chalk Circle. The Bertolt Brecht-penned play tells the tale of a young servant girl who rescues a baby abandoned by a governor and his wife. After the show, Kane, DeVito and Perlman made their way backstage to catch up with Lloyd, who stars as the zealous Azdak in the production, and meet his co-star, Tony nominee Elizabeth A. Davis, who plays the pained Grusha. Check out the exclusive photo above, and don’t miss The Caucasian Chalk Circle, scheduled to run through June 23.
