Daniel Huttlestone, the 13-year-old scene-stealer who charmed audiences last year in the musical movie version of Les Miserables, is reportedly in talks to star as Jack in the upcoming film adaptation of Into the Woods, according to Deadline.
Huttlestone would join a cast that includes Meryl Streep, Johnny Depp, Chris Pine, Jake Gyllenhaal, Emily Blunt and rumored cast members James Corden, Tracey Ullman and Christine Baranski. Six-time Tony nominee Rob Marshall will direct the musical for Disney, with a release scheduled for spring 2014.
If you didn’t catch Huttlestone’s adorable Gavroche in Les Miz, you can see the young British actor star opposite Jonathan Rhys Meyers and Liv Tyler in the upcoming film London Town. On stage, he appeared as Friedrich in the 2011 U.K. tour of The Sound of Music and as Dodger in the recent tour of Oliver!.
