Canadian actor/singer Ramin Karimloo is coming to New York! The acclaimed West End actor (who somehow has yet to make his Broadway debut!) will play six shows, August 1 through August 3, at the downtown venue SubCulture.
Karimloo originated the role of the Phantom in the West End run of the Phantom of the Opera sequel, Love Never Dies. He has also starred as Jean Valjean in the West End production of Les Miserables, a role he will recreate for Canadian audiences this fall. Additionally, he played the Phantom in the West End production and 25th Anniversary filming of Phantom of the Opera. His other theater credits include Pirates of Penzance, Jesus Christ Superstar and Miss Saigon. He released his solo album Human Heart in 2012 and recently toured Japan with Lea Salonga, Yu Shirtoa and Sierra Boggess in 4 Stars: One World of Broadway Musicals.
