Broadway favorite Adam Chanler-Berat (Next to Normal, Peter and the Starcatcher, off-Broadway's Rent) is headed to Joe’s Pub on August 22 for Bromance in Concert, a one-night-only presentation of a new musical by Kyle Ewalt and Michael Ian Walker. The show, which was previously staged at Caroline’s and 92Y Tribeca, will be directed by Matt Cowart.
In addition to Chanler-Berat, Bromance in Concert features Andrew Kober (Hair, Johnny Baseball), Molly Pope (The Diva-lution of Molly Pope) and Guy Olivieri (Rent national tour, TV’s Gossip Girl).
Subtitled “The Dude-sical,” Bromance is set in the world of beer, brotherhood and brocabulary. (Sample song titles: "Sports Center," "Chili Cheese Fries" and "Wingman.") The show features music by Ewalt, lyrics by Ewalt and Walker and a book by Walker. The Joe’s Pub concert will feature musical direction by Benjamin M. Rauhala and is being presented by Ground UP Productions.
