After opening on Broadway in 2003, the laugh-out-loud musical Avenue Q went on to win Tony Awards for Best Musical, Best Original Score, and Best Book of a Musical. Part flesh (humans) and part felt (puppets), the one-of-a-kind tuner follows Princeton, a recent college grad who moves into a shabby apartment on Avenue Q. There, he meets Kate, Rod, Trekkie, Lucy the Slut, Gary Coleman and many other colorful types who help him discover his life’s purpose. Don't let the word "puppet" fool you: This is a show about pornography, racism and loud, sweaty sex. Written by Tony winners Robert Lopez, Jeff Marx and Jeff Whitty, Avenue Q celebrated its 10th birthday with a gala performance at off-Broadway's New World Stages and an after-party at Hudson Terrace. Original cast members Ann Harada, Rick Lyon, Jennifer Barnhart and Jordan Gelber were on hand to party with the creators and current cast. Check out all the fun in our photo gallery!
