Always wanted to experience a moment in the woods with Tony winner Joanna Gleason? Well, now’s your chance. The stage and screen veteran will make her New York cabaret debut at 54 Below with concerts on October 9, 16 and 23.
Accompanied by the dazzling modern-day string quartet Well Strung, Gleason lets her fantasy and real lives intersect, underscored by tunes from Billy Joel, Dave Frishberg, Johnny Mathis and more—with maybe even a little walk through those woods.
Gleason won a Tony Award as the original Baker’s Wife in Into the Woods and picked up additional nominations for her roles in Dirty Rotten Scoundrels and Joe Egg. Her Broadway credits also include Nick & Nora, Social Security, The Real Thing and I Love My Wife. She most recently appeared off-Broadway in Roundabout’s acclaimed drama Sons of the Propeht. Her most notable screen credits include Mr. Holland’s Opus, Crimes and Misdemeanors, Boogie Nights, Friends, The Wedding Planner, Love & War and The West Wing.
