Broadway lovebirds Diana DeGarmo and Ace Young will co-star in a new touring production of Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice’s Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. DeGarmo will play the Narrator and Young will take on the title role in the tour, which is set to debut on March 6, 2014, at Cleveland’s Playhouse Square.
DeGarmo and Young, who were married in Los Angeles on June 1, met in 2010 when they played Sheila and Berger in the Broadway revival of Hair. She had previously starred as Penny in Hairspray, while he made his Broadway debut as Kenickie in the 2007 revival of Grease. Young proposed to DeGarmo onstage at the season 11 finale of American Idol, the show that launched their careers.
