Sutton Foster is heading back to school! The two-time Tony winner and former Bunheads star will play a middle school teacher in the season finale of Psych, according to TVLine.com. The episode, entitled “A Nightmare on State Street,” features Foster in a romantic relationship with the gym teacher, played by Billy Zabka. The episode will be written by James Roday. No air date has been announced.
In the spooky season finale, Gus will try to figure out what has been causing his night terrors by going to dream therapy. The storyline was chosen by fans via an online poll. Foster will join guest stars Bruce Campbell, Phylicia Rashad, Tears for Fears frontman Curt Smith, Brie and Nikki and WWE’s Bella Twins. Pysch will air a musical episode on December 15—no word on whether Foster will be a part of this episode.
Foster recently played Michelle Simms on the ABC Family series Bunheads. She won Tony Awards for Thoroughly Modern Millie and Anything Goes. Her additional Broadway credits include The Drowsy Chaperone, Shrek the Musical, Young Frankenstein, Little Women, The Scarlet Pimpernel, Annie, Grease and Les Miserables.
