On Labor Day weekend Americans from sea to sea take to their grills, parks and pools to celebrate the unofficial end of summer. This national holiday, passed by Congress in June 1894, celebrates the contribution workers have made to the strength, prosperity and well-being of the country. And like any good holiday, we mark the occasion by taking off from work.
