Tony winner David Zippel (City of Angels) has enlisted a bevy of Broadway divas for the star-studded concert Show Off, celebrating 25 years of the National Alliance for Musical Theatre. The one-night-only event will take place on October 20 at New York University’s Skirball Center for the Performing Arts.
Leading the evening’s festivities are Broadway.com Audience Choice Award winner Sierra Boggess (The Phantom of the Opera, The Little Mermaid), Patti Murin (Lysistrata Jones), Tony winner Lillias White (The Life, Fela), Tony nominee Kerry Butler (Xanadu, Hairspray), Tony winner Beth Leavel (The Drowsy Chaperone, Baby It’s You), Tony nominee Susan Egan (Beauty and the Beast, Cabaret), three-time Tony nominee Dee Hoty (Will Rogers Follies, Bye Bye Birdie) and Grammy winner Amanda McBroom (Seesaw).
Show Off is a the grand conclusion of NAMT’s Annual Festival of New Musicals, running at New World Stages October 17 and 18. It will include music from past festival shows such as Children of Eden, Thoroughly Modern Millie, Honk, The Drowsy Chaperone and Songs for a New World.
Show Off will feature choreography by Lorin Latarro and musical direction by Brad Haak.
