Eric Anderson and Amber Iman, the stars of the Broadway musical Soul Doctor, will lead a one-night-only concert at 54 Below on September 18. The duo will be backed by their very own Holy Beggar Band, and welcome a special appearance by their Soul Doctor co-star Zarah Mahler.
Anderson and Iman’s concert will include a sampling of the stars’ favorite songs, from Quincy Jones to the Lumineers. The evening promises to be "a captivating fix of suave melodies and tuneful magic for the ears and heart.”
Anderson and Iman star as Shlomo Carlebach and Nina Simone, respectively, in the Broadway bio-musical Soul Doctor, now running at the Circle in the Square Theatre. Anderson previously appeared on Broadway in Kinky Boots and South Pacific. Iman is making her Broadway debut, and has appeared off-Broadway in Rent and A Civil War Christmas.
