This sounds like the perfect way to celebrate the end of summer: Broadway on the Hudson, a free outdoor concert celebrating the Great White Way, will take place at Brookfield Place Waterfront Plaza in lower Manhattan on September 27 from 12:30-2PM. The live music event will feature performances from a slew of Broadway performers.
Broadway on the Hudson is set to include performances by the casts of Broadway's Annie, Chicago, First Date, Newsies, The Phantom of the Opera, Pippin, Cinderella, Rock of Ages, Soul Doctor and Spider-Man, Turn Off the Dark.
After the previously announced news that Broadway on Broadway, the outdoor concert in Times Square, was canceled this year, this concert will surely please musical theater fans looking to welcome autumn with a musical theater bang. The event will go on rain or shine.
