Wicked veteran Alli Mauzey returns to the Broadway blockbuster musical on September 24 in the role of Glinda the Good. Mauzey previously played Glinda on Broadway in 2008 and 2012. In addition to her Broadway stints, Mauzey played the role in the show's national tour in 2012. The musical’s current Glinda, Katie Rose Clarke play her last performance on September 22.
In addition to Wicked, Mauzey has also starred on Broadway in the musicals Cry-Baby and Hairspray. Her regional credits include Little Shop of Horrors, 110 in the Shade and City of Angels. In spring 2012, she co-starred in Encores! acclaimed production of It’s a Bird…It’s a Plane…It’s Superman.
Mauzey joins Wicked's current stars Lindsay Mendez as Elphaba, Derek Klena as Fiyero, Carol Kane as Madame Morrible, Catherine Charlebois as Nessarose, Michael Wartella as Boq, John Schiappa as Dr. Dillamond and Tom McGowan as The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.
Wicked was named by fans the All-Time Best Broadway Musical in Broadway.com’s March Musical Madness. Billed as the untold story of the witches of Oz, Wicked continues to play at Broadway’s Gershwin Theatre.
