It’s official: the Bad Jews are back! The return off-Broadway engagement of last year’s acclaimed dramedy celebrated its second opening night at the Laura Pels Theatre (moving upstairs from its 2012 premiere at the smaller-capacity Black Box Theatre). The show opened to the masses on October 3, and the house was packed as Tracee Chimo, Molly Ranson, Philip Ettinger and Michael Zegen took the stage for this fiercely funny tale about a pair of Jewish cousins who clash over the ownership of their grandfather’s beloved Chai necklace. Directed by Daniel Aukin and written by Joshua Harmon, the play is one darkly hilarious look at twentysomethings and religion—and it’s not to be missed! The stars stepped out on opening night, joined by a handful of Broadway vets who were in attendance to celebrate the show’s second round off-Broadway. Check out the gallery below!
