Broadway is in for one heck of a madcap musical surprise when the new comedy A Gentleman’s Guide to Love and Murder begins performances at the Walter Kerr Theatre on October 22. After premiering in Hartford and La Jolla, the old-fashioned musical comedy is headed to the Great White Way, led by Tony winner Jefferson Mays. The show follows Monty Navarro (Ghost’s Bryce Pinkham), a nobleman who discovers that he’s ninth in line to inherit a great fortune. So what does he do? Eliminate the eight D’Ysquith family members who come before him, all of whom are played by Mays in a performance for the ages. Before the curtain rises, the cast and creators met the press and showed off two numbers from the show.
