Cast Album for Andrew Lloyd Webber's Stephen Ward Sets Release Date; Free Tracks Available for Download

The Original London cast recording of the world premiere of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s new musical Stephen Ward will be released on March 3, 2014, courtesy of Decca Records. Two tracks from the album, "Human Sacrifice" and "Hopeless When It Comes To You," are currently available for free download by clicking here.

Directed by five-time Olivier winner Richard Eyre, Stephen Ward stars Alexander Hanson and Charlotte Spencer and begins previews December 3 at the Aldwych Theatre, with an official opening night set for December 19.

Featuring a book and lyrics by Christopher Hampton and Don Black (who also worked with Lloyd Webber on Sunset Boulevard), Stephen Ward tells the story of Stephen Ward (Hanson), an osteopath who meets the young and beautiful Christine Keeler (Spencer) in a West End night club, and how their chance meeting led to one of the biggest political scandals and trials of the 20th century.

In addition to Hanson and Spencer, the cast of Stephen Ward features Anthony Calf, Daniel Flynn, Joanna Riding, Ian Conningham, Chris Howell, Ricardo Coke Thomas, Wayne Robinson, Martin Callaghan, Kate Coyston, Jason Denton, Julian Forsyth, Amy Griffiths, Paul Kemble, Emma Kate Nelson, Carl Sanderson, Emily Squibb, John Stacey, Helen Ternent and Tim Walton.
