Romeo & Juliet Star T.R. Knight Marries His Longtime Boyfriend Patrick Leahy

Emmy nominee and Broadway alum T.R. Knight quietly married his longtime boyfriend Patrick Leahy on October 5. According to Us Weekly magazine, the pair tied the knot "in an intimate ceremony in front of family and friends." Few details about the private ceremony are available, but Knight's former Grey's Anatomy co-star and real-life BFF Katherine Heigl flew in to attend.

Knight is currently playing the role of Mercutio in Classic Stage Company’s off-Broadway revival of William Shakespeare’s Romeo & Juliet, starring up-and-coming film star Elizabeth Olsen and newcomer Julian Cihi as the titular star-crossed lovers. Knight was absent from the October 5 and 6 performances of the show to celebrate his wedding.

Knight's Broadway credits include A Life In The Theatre, Tartuffe and Noises Off. He appeared in off-Broadway productions of Sold, The Marriage of Bette and Boo, Scattergood and Marvin’s Room. Knight received an Emmy nomination for his role as George O’Malley on the ABC hit series Grey’s Anatomy. His other TV credits include The Good Wife and Law & Order: Special Victims Unit.
