Broadway is buzzing about Sharr White's new play The Snow Geese, starring Tony winners Mary-Louise Parker and Victoria Clark and Tony nominee Danny Burstein. The show is set to open on October 24 at Manhattan Theatre Club's Samuel J. Friedman Theatre, where it will play a limited engagement run through December 15. Set in the mid-1910s, with World War I raging abroad, The Snow Geese centers on newly widowed Elizabeth Gaesling (Parker), who gathers her family for their annual shooting party to mark the opening of hunting season in upstate New York. Elizabeth is pressured to face a new reality as her spoiled eldest son comes to terms with his approaching deployment overseas and her younger son discovers that the father they all cherished left them in debt.
