The annual 24 Hour Plays on Broadway is always jam-packed with big name stars, and this year is no exception: Modern Family's Jesse Tyler Ferguson, First Date fave Zachary Levi, stage and screen star Julia Stiles and more will take the stage at the American Airlines Theatre on November 18 to write, direct and perform six original short plays. What’s the catch? They have to do it all in 24 hours, of course!
In addition to Ferguson, Levi and Stiles, 24 Hour Plays on Broadway will feature Sasha Alexander, Jason Biggs, Jamie Chung, David Cross, Natalie Dormer, Rachel Dratch, Greta Gerwig, Gina Gershon, Karen Gillan, Bryan Greenberg, Hill Harper, Gaby Hoffmann, Anthony Mackie, Zosia Mamet, Diane Neal, Rosie Perez, James Purefoy, Fisher Stevens, Mickey Sumner and Tracie Thoms. Directors include America Ferrera, Ari Edelson, Andy Fickman, Kathy Najimy and Thomas Kail. Writers include Rachel Axler, David Lindsay-Abaire, Lynn Nottage, Theresa Rebeck and Jonathan Marc Sherman.
The 24 Hour Plays was created in 1995 by Tina Fallon. Proceeds for the event will benefit the Urban Arts Partnership, the largest arts educational organization in New York City.
