Everyone’s favorite elf-turned-pirate-turned-Shakespearean-heartthrob Orlando Bloom stopped by The Colbert Report on October 28 to promote his Broadway debut as the romantic Romeo Montague in director David Leveaux's contemporary revival of Romeo and Juliet. Bloom spoke candidly with Colbert about why he wanted to do theater even though he's a "goddamn movie star," how he mastered iambic pentameter and if he wears tights underneath his ripped jeans while playing the heartsick Romeo. And of course, because he can, Colbert also grilled Bloom about how Hobbit elves make babies and if they altered the ending of Romeo and Juliet so that there can be a sequel for the franchise-friendly Bloom.
