From let me help you find your seat to let me be your star! Some of Broadway’s most talented ushers will take to the stage for a fun and fierce cabaret performance on November 4 at Stage 72. Voices From The Aisles will feature front of house staff entertaining the crowd with Broadway caliber performances, including a four-piece band.
The one-night-only performance—a first time ever event—was inspired by the Playbill-handers at Foxwoods Theatre, home of Broadway's Spider-Man, Turn Off the Dark. The theater's team of staff members includes many performers who pound the New York City pavements by day and usher at the largest theater on the Great White Way by night. The best part? The evening’s ushers will be some of Broadway's favorite current stars!
Spider-Man, Turn Off the Dark, starring Justin Matthew Sargent as Peter Parker/Spider-Man, Robert Cuccioli as Norman Osborn/Green Goblin and Rebecca Faulkenberry as Mary Jane Watson, and featuring a rock score penned by U2 musicians Bono and The Edge, continues its run at the Foxwoods Theatre.
All proceeds from the night will be donated to The League of Independent Theater’s The LIT Fund, which is designed to financially assist artists creating independent theatre in the five boroughs of New York City.
