Matthew Broderick and Alice Eve are about to get down and Dirty in New Mexico. The two-time Tony winner and the Star Trek Into Darkness alum will co-star in the new film Dirty Weekend, by Neil LaBute (The Shape of Things, Reasons to Be Happy), Variety reports. The writer is also on tap to direct.
In Dirty Weekend, Les Moore (Broderick) finds himself delayed on a business trip in a city he had visited one year earlier, but the last time he was there, he had a few too many drinks and an encounter he only half remembers. The evening has been haunting him, so he attempts to figure out what actually happened that night, joined by his co-worker (Eve). Hmm, sounds like The Hangover with more TPS reports.
Broderick last appeared on Broadway in Nice Work If You Can Get It. He won Tony Awards for Brighton Beach Memoirs and How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying, and an additional nomination for The Producers. His film and TV credits include Godzilla, Glory, The Lion King, Modern Family, 30 Rock, the 2005 film adaptation of The Producers and of course, Ferris Bueller’s Day Off.
In addition to Star Trek Into Darkness, Eve’s film and TV credits include She’s Out of My League, Men in Black 3, The Raven, Entourage and Sex and the City 2.
