Even X-men have to use sunscreen! In a very sincere post to his Instagram account, Broadway hunk Hugh Jackman revealed to his followers that he recently had cancerous cells removed from his nose.
The above photo of his nose in bandages was accompanied by this humbling statement, “Deb [Jackman’s wife] said to get the mark on my nose checked. Boy, was she right! I had a basil cell carcinoma. Please don't be foolish like me. Get yourself checked. And USE sunscreen!!!”
Jackman is currently working on a plethora of projects including a Houdini musical set to hit Broadway in 2014, a P.T Barnum musical movie extravaganza with filmmaker Bill Condon (The Twilight Saga:Breaking Dawn) and a rumored appearance as the self-obsessed Latin lover Aldolpho in the new Drowsy Chaperone film. With all of those projects and a Tony Award under his belt, it’s a wonder he can remember to put his pants on.
Hugh, you’ll have your day in the sun when Houdini hits Broadway, but until then use those Wolverine claws to pile on the SPF 50 and get well soon!
