It's a battle of wits between theater royalty Maggie Smith and Shirley MacLaine in the new preview for Downton Abbey’s Christmas special. The episode will air in the U.K. Christmas Day and in early 2014 Stateside. Oscar winner MacLaine has appeared on Broadway in Me and Juliet and The Pajama Game, as well as three solo revues and was awarded a Kennedy Center Honor December 8. Tony and Oscar winner Smith recently had us a buzz when she said “I would love to do more theater work but really, I don’t get any offers."
