Cherry Jones, Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellen & More Come Together at 2013 Gypsy of the Year

The annual Gypsy of the Year competition is one of the Broadway community's favorite events, and the 2013 edition was no exception! Stage stars like Cherry Jones, Zachary Quinto, Patrick Stewart and Ian McKellen were on hand to yuk it up at the Minskoff Theatre on December 9 and 10, while more than 250 singers, dancers and musicians had a ball performing for a good cause. The 25th anniversary celebration included a exciting program of songs, original skits, dances and, of course, performances from the Broadway companies of Kinky Boots, Pippin, After Midnight and more. But the sweetest news of the day was the final tally: After six weeks of fundraising, the 56 participating Broadway, off-Broadway and national touring companies raised $4,343,234 for Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS.
