Chim Chim Cheree! At the Los Angeles premiere of Disney’s newest Oscar bait Saving Mr. Banks on December 9, Tom Hanks and Emma Thompson were on top of the world—err, you might even say up where the air is clear! Joined by the original Mary Poppins and Bert in the flesh (Julie Andrews and Dick Van Dyke), they led the cast of their new film in a jolly good performance of “Let’s Go Fly a Kite!” The Banks crew belted the song with Thompson as their conductor, who in the end exclaims, “God, we’re good!” Well, she's more confident here than she is talking about her upcoming performance in the New York Philharmonic's Sweeney Todd, but we're sure Saving Mr. Banks will bring in plenty of tuppence at the box office for this one.
